    Copado Agentia
    Agentia Academy

    Training
    for every role.

    Every lesson is built around the exact commands you'll run, across the general, cicd, testing and ai namespaces.

    Source Format pipelines only. Commits, jobs, promotions, conflict resolution, deployments, data operations, metadata and dependency commands work with Copado CI/CD Source Format pipelines. Metadata Format pipelines are not supported.

    Getting started

    Install the CLI, authenticate & enable your agent

    Install the agentia binary globally, store your Agentia CI/CD, Testing, and AI credentials in the OS keychain, verify the setup, then create project-local Agent Skills. Expected result: the project contains Agentia-managed Markdown skills, so a compatible agent can load the relevant CICD, Testing, or AI playbook before operating Agentia.

    $ npm install -g @copado/agentia-cli@beta --registry https://registry.npmjs.org
    $ agentia setup
    $ agentia auth get --json
    # Enable your coding agent
    $ agentia setup skills create --target agents
    $ agentia setup skills create --cicd --target cursor --no-prompt

    Agent enablement

    Install Agentia Skills for your coding agent

    For developers, QA, release managers, and platform engineers. Install or update the CLI, run setup skills create, choose the agents, cursor or claude target, select all packs or only cicd, testing or ai, then inspect the created folders. Ask your IDE agent: "Use the Agentia CICD skill to inspect my assigned Story and explain the local delivery flow. Do not promote anything." The agent reads the CICD skill, checks authentication, lists and reads the Story before any mutation, explains the local path without mixing in cloud commit commands, and does not promote without explicit approval. Refresh later with setup skills update; a file without the Agentia managed marker is never overwritten, and --force is recovery behaviour for a conflicting unmanaged file, not the normal command.

    $ npm install -g @copado/agentia-cli@beta --registry https://registry.npmjs.org
    $ agentia setup skills create --target agents
    $ agentia setup skills create --cicd --target cursor --no-prompt

    The daily work-item loop: local and cloud paths

    Local and cloud work are separate delivery paths.

    Local: work set creates or checks out feature/<story-name>, then you stage and commit with plain git (git add -A, git commit -m "…"). work test --local runs project-owned quality gates. work push registers the Copado Commit (a plain git push does not) and takes --full-metadata and --permissions when those change-list corrections are needed. work submit validates.

    Cloud: cloud commit with metadata flags and --metadata-category SFDX for Salesforce metadata, then work status. Never continue a cloud commit with local work push or work submit.

    Promotion and deployment (work submit --done, or cloud promote --deploy) require explicit approval; work done is a compatibility alias.

    Local repository flow
    list → get → create/update → set → (implement & git commit) → test → publish → submit → status

    Flow

    1. Discover: agentia cicd work list --assigned-to-me --json, then agentia cicd work get <id-or-name> --json.
    2. Create or mutate the Story when needed: work create / work update.
    3. Activate: agentia cicd work set <id-or-name> --json. Requires a clean tracked tree. Fetch or create origin/feature/<story-name>.
    4. Implement with Salesforce CLI, VS Code, or an IDE. Stage and commit with git add / git commit. Do not use work commit.
    5. Run local gates: agentia cicd work test --json.
    6. Register: agentia cicd work publish --json. A plain git push does not register a Copado Commit. This auto-detects metadata changes such as permissions and nested metadata, pushes the changes to git and Copado, and updates the DevOrg branch.
    7. Validate: agentia cicd work submit --json. Add --deploy or --done to deploy to the next environment and update git.
    8. Sync: if there was a warning about user stories behind, run agentia cicd work environment-sync to merge the incoming changes to the current branch.
    9. Check pending jobs: agentia cicd work status [id-or-name] --json.
    Copado cloud flow
    list → get → create/update → (implement in the dev org) → cloud commit → status → cloud promote

    Flow

    1. Discover: agentia cicd work list --assigned-to-me --json, then agentia cicd work get <id-or-name> --json.
    2. Create or mutate the Story when needed: work create / work update.
    3. Implement directly in the dev org. There is no local repository and no git commit on this path.
    4. Commit and promote in Copado: agentia cicd cloud commit <id-or-name> --message "…" --metadata-name <name> --metadata-type <type> --metadata-category SFDX, follow the job with agentia cicd work status [id-or-name] --json, then promote only with explicit approval using agentia cicd cloud promote <id-or-name> --deploy. Never continue a cloud commit with the local work publish or work submit.

    Pre-requisites

    Run agentia setup to prepare this machine and the current project: CI/CD and Agentia Testing authentication, Cursor MCP, local quality gates, AGENTS.md and Copado defaults.

    Defaults are stored once per project so you do not have to pass the same project, environment, credential, team or sprint values each time.

    Then set your project defaults for local development and add Agent Skills for your coding agent:

    $ agentia setup
    $ agentia cicd project default set --credential <value> --environment <value> --project <value> \
    --sprint <value> --team <value> --epic <value> --feature <value> --assign-me [--global]
    # NOTE: add --json for a more machine-oriented output

    Metadata insight & dependencies

    See what changed before you commit, diff a component across orgs, and derive a complete deployment selection straight from your Git diff.

    $ agentia cicd metadata list --source Changed --pipeline-id <pipeline-id>
    $ agentia cicd metadata content get --metadata-type ApexClass --api-name AccountService
    $ agentia cicd metadata content compare --api-name AccountService --source-org-id <source-org-id> --target-org-id <target-org-id>
    $ agentia cicd metadata dependency list --from-changes --base-ref origin/main

    Promotions & conflict resolution

    Choose your entry point: start from a Story with cloud promote, or from a Promotion record with promotion run --operation merge. Add deployment only with explicit intent (--deploy or --operation merge_and_deploy). Inspect the promotion and each conflict before resolving, then resume the original Job Execution instead of starting a replacement run.

    # From a Story, or from a Promotion record
    $ agentia cicd cloud promote <story-id> --json
    $ agentia cicd promotion run <promotion-id> --operation merge --json

    # Safe conflict sequence

    Jobs, logs & pipeline control

    Inspection first: list with targeted filters, get the Job Execution, then read step logs as CI artifacts. Pause, kill, and restart come after status inspection and require explicit user intent. agentia cicd job manages CI/CD JobExecution records; agentia testing job manages Robotic Testing test/job definitions.

    # Inspect first
    $ agentia cicd job list --mine --status "In Progress" --json
    $ agentia cicd job get <job-execution-id> --json
    $ agentia cicd job log get <job-execution-id> --step <step-id> --json

    Release Data Templates safely

    Inspect a template (selected-column graph with get, raw v2 payload with get-detail), validate source record search and destination matching including unmatched or ambiguous results, preview metadata sync and review needsAttention and autoUpdate entries before apply, then create a data commit and read its dataset files. Template, credential, Story, data commit and ContentVersion IDs are all different. If a JobExecution ID comes back, continue with agentia cicd job, not agentia testing job. Conversion and deletion need discovery, inspection, and a saved baseline first; delete is destructive.

    # Inspect a template
    $ agentia cicd data template list --active --fetch-related --json
    $ agentia cicd data template get <template-id> --json
    $ agentia cicd data template get-detail <template-id> --json

    Copado Robotic Testing (CRT), end to end

    CRT authentication is separate from CI/CD: set it with agentia auth set --crt <pak> --crt-domain <crt-domain> --crt-org <crt-org-id>, then gate on ready: true from agentia auth get --crt --json — a credential that is merely set can still be incomplete. Then work the lifecycle: testing project (with project permission for view/edit access), testing robot for where tests execute, testing job for uploaded or Git-backed Robot Framework scripts plus job refs, upload, download and job schedule with a cron expression, timezone and recording policy. Run with testing build run using suite, test, include, exclude, variable, metadata and rerun-failed controls, add --wait-for-result --timeout with --save-artifacts and --xunit, then inspect with build get --full, build latest, build search and build logs --tail-lines --timestamps. Keep secrets out of arguments with testing variable and testing user-parameter value-stdin or value-file, drive matrices with testing data-table and --datatable, and debug interactively with testing live start / execute / inspect / screenshot / stop. Every short-running command supports --json, destructive commands need --yes (MCP uses confirm: true), and none of this is the same as cicd work test --local.

    Ask the Copado AI agents from the terminal

    Let the skill choose the mode: ask is the automation and agent-to-agent path with exactly one lifecycle selector (plan, build, test, release, operate, knowledge), while chat is TTY-only for a human terminal. Context flags such as workspace, dialogue, User Story, Salesforce org, and component enrich a clear prompt; they do not replace one. MCP supports buffered single-turn ask, not interactive chat.

    $ agentia ai agent ask --agent plan -p "Break this requirement into implementation steps" --json
    $ agentia ai agent ask \
    -p "Summarize Copado guidance for Data Template synchronization" --no-stream --json

    Wire the local MCP server into your IDE

    MCP gives the agent tools. Agentia Skills give it the operating playbook. Install both when the agent should execute Agentia workflows safely from the IDE, then keep domain boundaries in the tool chain: local work, cloud work, Robotic Testing, and AI each have their own sequence. Promotion and deployment always need explicit user approval, so no work-done tool call is automatic.

    $ agentia setup skills create --target cursor --no-prompt
    $ agentia mcp start
    # Cursor: { "mcpServers": { "agentia": { "command": "agentia", "args": ["mcp", "start"] } } }
    # Local work: agentia_work_get → agentia_work_set → agentia_work_commit → agentia_work_test → agentia_work_push → agentia_work_submit
    # Cloud work: agentia_work_get → agentia_work_commit (cloud: true) → JobExecution monitoring → agentia_work_promote (cloud: true, approved only)
    # CRT: agentia_testing_project_list → agentia_testing_robot_list → agentia_testing_create → agentia_testing_run
    # AI: agentia_ai_ask (buffered single turn; chat stays interactive in a terminal)
